Dr. Abla Abdul Hamid Bokhari is a lecturer in the Department of Economics, Faculty of Economics & Administration at King Abdulaziz University (KAU). She is a member of the board of directors in Al-Zakir International Group. She has her teaching experience since 1989 in Micro and Macro Economics, Economic Development and Planning, Regional Economics and Managerial Economics. In addition to teaching, she wrote two books in Principles of Microeconomics, and a number of articles related to Maritime Economics. From 1988 until 1995, Dr. Bokhari was the Secretary of Economics Department, Faculty of Economics and Administration at KAU.

In 2001, Dr. Bokhari obtained a Ph.D. degree in Maritime Transport Economics at the Arab Academy Science & Technology and Maritime Transport in Alexandria, Egypt.

Currently, she is pursuing her second Ph.D. in Tourism Economics at the University of Bradford in the United Kingdom.
