In 1984, Humoud Al Ajlan graduated from King Saud University with a Bachelor of Science majoring in Accounting. He obtained his Master degree in Professional Accounting in 1989 at the University of Miami, USA. Mr. Al Ajlan has made a great contribution for the National Shipping Co. of Saudi Arabia (NSCSA) since 1993. He was appointed as Finance Director and later as Vice Chief Executive (Finance Division) in the company. He is currently a Chief Executive Officer of NSCSA.

Mr. Al Ajlan is also a Chairman Mideast Ship Management Ltd. and NSCSA (America), Baltimore. In addition, he is part of the board member of several companies, including National Chemical Carriers (NCC), PETREDEC Ltd. (Bermuda), and The West of England Ship Owners (Luxembourg).
