Red Sea Gateway Terminal (RSGT) will be the first grass-roots private container terminal in Saudi Arabia. The new facility will enhance Jeddah Islamic Port’s overall capability through its layout, design, state of the art equipment, and high container handling productivity. This deepwater container terminal will serve the new generation of oceangoing containerships; have its own dedicated navigation channel and wide turning basin.

RSGT with a 735 long main berth, a 317m long feeder berth and a deep draft of 18m will be equipped to serve the next generation of container ships. The terminal’s flexible layout carried on by Halcrow International will have an annual container handling capacity of 1.5 million teus as well as its own dedicated 16.5 m deep channel linked to Jeddah Islamic Port's main channel.
